We have over 140 volunteers, many of whom are blind or partially sighted. Volunteers play a vital and much valued role in our work. The time given up freely by our volunteers is what allows us to make a huge difference to people’s lives.
Quite simply, without volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to reach those people most in need of help and reassurance. We wouldn’t be able to provide people with sight loss with the hope and independence that we seek to give them. We wouldn’t be able to change lives.
Volunteers help us run a wide range of important services like our social activity clubs. Our volunteers carry out home visits and help us to provide computer training.
If you’re thinking “I want to give my time”, thank you. As little as an hour each month could make all the difference to somebody.
If you think that you would like to help us in some way, please take a look at our volunteering opportunities, or call us on 029 2039 8900. You can also call into our offices on Womanby Street or, if you don’t live in Cardiff, look at the nationwide Volunteering Opportunities Finder on the RNIB website.
