Rhondda Cynon Taf Clubs and Groups

Here’s some information about what’s going on in Rhondda Cynon Taf :

Local social and support groups

All peer support groups are now run as independent entities by volunteers. Sight Life provides support through referrals for new members. If you or someone you know would like to join one of the groups, please contact our Cardiff office on 02920 398900 or Carys Groves on 07753 305631.

Young at Heart Social Group (RCT)

This group is run by Carys and volunteer Kim Tillman. It meets regularly over Zoom and enjoys a variety of activities like quizzes, baking, arts and crafts and fitness. The group currently meets every Friday between 11.00 am and  1.00 pm. The theme for the week is posted on Facebook and emailed by request. This is what some of the participants have told us bout their involvement:

“I really enjoyed. I surprised myself and didn’t think it was going to be my thing. The group has made the difference and the need for interaction. I had so much fun I loved being in the group and being part of it. There’s a lot of talent in the group, with different hobbies, interests and passions”.

“I felt connected to the group, I haven’t seen everyone in person for so long and it’s nice to see new faces”.
