Anita Davies
I started working in the sight loss sector in 1992 and for Sight Life which was then Cardiff Institute for the Blind in 1993 which is 31 years ago. I have sight loss myself as I was born with a rare condition. I am very passionate about the work I do as I know from my own life experience and through the work I do in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea area that we really make a difference to the lives of people. My role as Locality Development Manager is to provide, develop and deliver services throughout the two counties. There are a range of services from social support groups to leisure, wellbeing and activity groups.
Outside of work I provide holistic therapies and enjoy helping people improve their wellbeing as well as looking after my own wellbeing. I enjoy cold water swimming, blind baseball, sailing and anything that I have never done before that can be a challenge. I love socialising with friends and spending time with my family. I believe anything is possible and the only limitation we have is ourself.
