Anita Davies

I started working in the sight loss sector in 1992 and moved to Sight Life (which was then Cardiff Institute for the Blind) in 1993 – 31 years ago!
I have sight loss myself as I was born with a rare condition. Consequently, I am very passionate about the work I do as I know, from my own life experience and through the work I do, that we really do make a difference to the lives of the people we work with.
My role as Locality Development Manager in the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot area, is to provide, develop and deliver services throughout the two counties. These include a range of services from social support groups to leisure, wellbeing and activity groups.
Outside of work I provide holistic therapies and enjoy helping people improve their wellbeing as well as looking after my own wellbeing. I enjoy cold water swimming, blind baseball, sailing and anything that I have never done before that can be a challenge. I love socialising with friends and spending time with my family. I believe anything is possible and the only limitation we have is ourselves.
