Sight Loss Awareness Training

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming staff members from Tenovus Cancer Care (@tenovuscancer) for Sight Loss Awareness training.
During the session, they explored the most common eye conditions and gained insight into how these impact individuals’ daily lives. We discussed practical ways to offer support and demonstrated how to confidently guide someone with sight loss.
The training included hands-on activities such as identifying currency, guiding someone outdoors, and safely crossing a busy road. The group showed great enthusiasm, asked thoughtful questions, and performed brilliantly throughout. Most importantly, they left feeling confident and empowered to assist their customers with sight loss.
