24 February 2017

CIB is recruiting for a new Community Coordinator role based in Rhondda Cynon Taf, helping to deliver a really exciting £0.5m Big Lottery Fund project.

The post will be based out of our Pontypridd office and support blind and partially sighted people to take part in sport, leisure and interest activities – leading to reduced isolation and more healthy, active and fulfilling lives.

The role will require working with activity providers such as leisure centres, adult learning centres, theatres, sports clubs and community groups to make activities more accessible and welcoming.

It will involve encouraging and supporting blind and partially sighted people to take part in activities and give them the skills to organise activities for themselves and their peers.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate an understanding and empathy of the issues experienced by blind and partially sighted people and be able to evidence that you can influence individuals and organisations and manage volunteers.

The job descriptions and an application form can be downloaded from www.cibi.co.uk/jobs or to ask for a printed copy, please email [email protected] or telephone 029 2039 8900.

Appointment is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Check.

Closing date for applications is midnight on 16 March 2017.

Interviews are due to take place on 27 March 2017.
