Sight Life Trustee featured on the Lynn Bowles radio show on BBC Radio Wales

8 November 2023

Sight Life’s Trustee Carole Jones was a guest on the Lynn Bowles radio show on BBC Radio Wales on Sunday 8th October.

As an Ophthalmologist, she expertly provided excellent advice in relation to eye care.

Carole also outlined the work that Sight Life does to support people with sight loss and the role it plays in supporting the NHS and statutory services in the community and the training Sight Life provides for wider sectors.

John Sanders Chair of Trustees for Sight Life notes that “People often ask me what being a charity trustee means. Carole’s interview with Lynn Bowles gives an idea of what you can get involved in as a trustee — an entirely voluntary and unpaid role. As you can see, being a trustee is often much more than simply making sure a charity meets the requirements set out by the Charity Commission”.

Carole’s radio  session is available on the link below and starts at approximately 1hour and 12 minutes into the recording.
