Cardiff Institute for the Blind (CIB) was proudly visited on Thursday by the UK Lottery Forum, which is made up of chief executive officers from the different UK organisations that distribute lottery funding.

Those forum members included:

Jennie Price, Sport England

Liz Nicholl, UK Sport

Carole Souter, Heritage Lottery Fund

Dawn Austwick, Big Lottery Fund

Amanda Nevill, British Film Institute

They were visiting CIB as we are considered to have delivered a very successful Big Lottery funded project and the forum members said they were delighted to hear from nine blind and partially sighted people that have benefited from our services.  The common comments from the blind and partially sighted people that spoke were that whatever problem they had, CIB staff always seemed to find a solution.

Kieran Harris, Director of Operations for CIB, said: “It is a real honour to be one of only three projects visited on the day by the UK Lottery Forum and we would like to thank the Big Lottery Fund for their support and positive feedback.”
