Carys Groves

I joined the Sight Life team in 2017 first as a Community co-ordinator and now as the Locality and Development Manager of Rhondda Cynon Taff, affectionately known as ‘The Valleys’. I am passionate about giving our members a voice and ensuring that people with sight loss have access to the vital and ongoing support needed locally. All things RCT come through me which means my role is a busy and varied one; running groups and a volunteer led Contact line, delivering talks and awareness training, supporting members new and old. One of my proudest achievements has been the successful delivery of our Beautifully Blind Make-up tutorials, teaching each stage of make-up application to women with sight loss. It is a privilege to be part of such a special charity.

I love socialising, whether it be a nice meal and wine, a rugby international, theatre show or concert. I am also a film fanatic, Taylor Swift super fan, and DIY enthusiast.
