Sight Life, formerly known as Cardiff Institute for the Blind until October 2019, offers a wide range of local services to support blind and partially sighted people across much of South Wales. Our mission is to help people live independent, active, social, and fulfilling lives. Established in 1865, we are one of Wales' oldest charities. We are proud to have rugby legend Sir Gareth Edwards, CBE, as our President, and Wales' renowned female impersonator, Ceri Dupree, as our patron.

Hey everyone,
A quick reminder that cinema club is on this Wednesday 22 October. If anyone has any film requests please let me know by home time today as I haven’t had many requests aside from films that are probably not everyone’s cup of tea. If we don’t choose any particular film then I’ll go with the film “The Roofman”. Which is showing Cineworld.
Kind Regards,
Natalie

Good morning Everyone, we hope you are staying dry during this slightly wet day!
Do you want to help shape the future of eye care services?

Join the new Centre for Vision Services Research as a Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Lead.

The Centre for Vision Services Research started in April 2025. Its goal is to make health and eye care services better for people who use eye clinics or have sight problems. They want to focus their research on listening to the experiences and opinions of patients, caregivers, and the wider community to help guide their work.
