“Why are we doing this?” we hear you ask!

We are celebrating our 160th year in spectacular fashion with our Challenge 160 leading the way. We’d love you to get involved.

“What exactly is it Challenge 160?” we hear you ask!

We’re simply asking people to take on a challenge (or challenges!) of their choice to raise £160 (or more!) for Sight Life between 1st April 2025 (our actual anniversary) and 31st March 2026.

Whether you choose to do it solo, with family members, friends, colleagues or as part of a team, we believe you can absolutely smash your £160 fundraising target, have a great time and make a huge difference along the way.

Why get involved?

By getting involved, you’ll be helping Sight Life to grow and evolve to offer more support, services and facilities to people across South Wales who are living with a diagnosis of sight loss.

Instances of sight loss are set to double in the coming years, so we’ve never needed your support more to continue our valuable work.

Plus, as a thank you, we will be commemorating all our successful challengers at a special Challenge 160 Celebration Event. The more challenges you do, the better the reward!

How can I get involved?

We have made it really simple.

• £ 10 could help someone attend a virtual peer support group to hear from others with their sight condition.

• £ 20 could allow us to help someone select the right assistive device to empower them to live independently.

• £ 50 could provide tailored technology support to help someone with sight loss stay connected.

• £ 100 could provide a home visit to someone newly diagnosed with sight loss to advise them on independent living and staying active and safe at home.

Thank you and good luck with your challenges!
